Do you shoot destination weddings?
ABSOLUTELY! Kristen has traveled to amazing destinations such as Maui, Belize, Costa Rica, Canada, and more!
How is location decided?
Great question! We shoot at so many amazing+beautiful locations & have many suggestions, Contact us and let's get to know you and we can send some recommendations! For now, Please view our collections for some of our favorites!
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is 48 hours. If we are notified within 48 hours we can indeed rebook you! We understand life comes with, well..Life..
Weather related rescheduled will be determined as an as needed basis.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Credit, Paypal, Stripe + Zelle.
A retainer fee will be collected to reserve your booking.
Final payment is due on the day of the session.
Wedding payments are due 14 days prior to wedding date.
Do I have to order prints through you?
Not at all. Our images are delivered high resolution for you to download and take to a printer of your liking, although you absolutely can order prints through us too! We are linked to our favorite labs that will send the prints right to your front door.
When will I receive my image gallery?
We make sure that we’re spending time editing your images to make them look spectacular. It is also understood you are excited and want your photos as soon as possible. We stay within industry standards yet try our best to delivery in a speedy fashion. Portrait+Family sessions typically take up to 1 week, Headshots up to 2 weeks, Lifestyle up to 3 weeks, Event photography up to 1 week.
Wedding pictures will be delivered up to six weeks after your wedding date.
Do you offer Mini Sessions?
You hear a lot about mini sessions but many people don't quite understand them. Mini sessions are a group of sessions scheduled at the same location for a very short amount of time with a small specific amount of images included.
k.Dot DOES run mini sessions from time to time but they are not a normal package and will only be offered during said scheduled times and locations. Sign up for our e-mails and we will notify you of the next mini sessions!
What is your photographic style?
Some confuse editing with style of photography and whilst I edit to the mood of the session, my photographic "style" is more lifestyle than anything. Lifestyle photography is candid with a small sense of direction to provide a more relaxed+spontaneous result.
How are my images delivered?
k.Dot delivers all images at high resolution through an online catalog where you can share, download, and print directly from the link.
What is your editing style?
I love to edit my images to match the mood. I don't believe there is a one size fits all when it comes to my clients therefore I use my artistic+creative eye to do the work. I tend to lean more towards dramatic and high color images.
What's in your gear bag?
Lots+lots of snacks! And of course a few cameras. Kristen uses Sony mirrorless cameras along with Nikon Dslr with a wide range+variety of professional lenses. There is always a back up camera on hand. Keeping things simple she doesn't travel with big lights or strobes and dedicated to capturing moments rather than perfection.
